Health Research Graduate Studentships

NEW FOR 2016!

An updated Canadian Common CV (i.e., no older than six months), will be required for submission for all applications. Student applicants, be aware that both your and your supervisor(s)’s CCV must have been updated within six months of your submission for your application to be accepted.

A limited number of Health Research Graduate Studentships are offered to qualified graduate students who are undertaking full time Master's or Doctoral programs in the Province of Manitoba.

However, in those disciplines where training at the pre-doctoral level is not available within the province, Research Manitoba will consider funding elsewhere if documented evidence, indicating the unavailability of provincial training opportunities and a firm intent to return to the province after training, is provided.

Coordinated Studentships
Research Manitoba partners with other Health Research Funders and Institutions for a coordinated competition where a single merit review process (managed by Research Manitoba), assesses applications to award funds from all partners and Research Manitoba.

The 2017 Graduate Studentship Competition partners are:

Health Sciences Centre Foundation
Lung Association, Manitoba

*General Research Manitoba Graduate Studentship eligibility requirements, along with the additional eligibility for the above partners can be found in the Guide (link below).

The competition is open to all eligible applicants, whether or not they are affiliated with the institutions listed above.
