Review Committees

Each year Research Manitoba employs a competitive peer/merit review process to evaluate and select research funding proposals for the Board’s approval. The review process is undertaken by a committee of active experts with the appropriate background and knowledge of the application topics under review. Committee members review applications in advance of the Committee meeting and then discuss, assess, and score the applications during a live meeting. Each committee is chaired by a respected researcher from a relevant field and, in some cases, accompanied by a skilled Scientific Officer. It would be impossible to conduct our Grants and Awards competitions without the volunteer time received from our review committee members and we greatly acknowledge them in making our competitions run successfully and smoothly.

If you are interested in becoming a reviewer for one of our Review Committees, please contact helpdesk@researchmb.ca.
