Thursday, June 20, 2024 – Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Research Manitoba is pleased to announce the results of our strategic planning sessions, presenting guiding principles for the next three years. This strategic plan will steer our decision-making processes by highlighting our key priorities in supporting the research ecosystem in Manitoba.

As we celebrate our tenth year as an organization, we reflect on our achievements and identify ways to further support the research industry.

We are excited to share our three strategic goals for 2024-2027:

  • Elevate Manitoba’s Research Ecosystem: We aim to position Manitoba as a global research hub by attracting industry, supporting commercialization, and fostering collaboration through strategic partnerships.

  • Foster Reconciliation through Indigenous-Led Research: We recognize the diversity of our research ecosystem, and will make important changes to enhance equity within our programs and committees.

  • Continue to Advance Manitoba’s Health Research Capacity: We are committed to reducing health research bureaucracy and streamlining privacy, ethics, and impact reviews.

These goals will help us create additional opportunities to support the research industry, ensuring that Manitoba remains a leader in both academic and industry-level research. By strengthening our relationships with stakeholders and understanding the needs of our research community, we are poised to unlock a brighter future through our dedication to research and innovation.
