September 12, 2025 – Winnipeg, Manitoba
Research Manitoba is pleased to announce the results of the May 2025 Research Connections grant competition. Designed to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange, the program funds research-related events across Manitoba.
The Research Connections program supports conferences, workshops, seminars, and other research-focused gatherings that create opportunities for skill development, interdisciplinary collaboration, public engagement, and connections with industry partners. For this intake, Research Manitoba invested $44,650 to support nine events.
The funded events showcase Manitoba’s diverse research community, with all events united by a focus on collaboration and research growth. Each event’s unique goals, ranging from addressing climate change impacts on child health to advancing national health strategies, demonstrate Manitoba’s leadership in driving local expertise toward global impact.
“Community events play a pivotal role in the research ecosystem.
By providing opportunities for researchers to engage with their peers and meet potential partners, we create space for new ideas to emerge.”
